Let us know when you lock down the problem, I look forward to playing the game.

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
Ok, this is interesting. The issue probably exists between the sound card drivers and DirectSound. Definately driver upgrade, and by any chance are any of you using onboard (on the motherboard) sound? That stuff SUCKS. The drivers stuck to my OS like a hobo on a baked potato.

Using Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, not mobo sound, DirectSound support is OFF. Drivers are completely up to date on my sound card, and I have the latest Version of DirectX.

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
I finally got it to run by renaming the Music directory. Something must be wrong with mp3 playback.

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
Small update:
Finally got it to run by installing the latest Nvidia drivers. Apparently Starfury did not want to play nicely with the 44.03 I had installed. Ah well, it works now, so I'm happy.

Re: Access Violation by Starfuy.exe
One thing about the music. I can reload a saved game with the music running normally without the game crashing. Only if I start a new game does it crash immediately upon entering space unless I rename the music directory.
