Hey! Isn't this too easy?!

I play at average... but i don't think that really matters... probbaly the AI is better at hard and the ships have more hit points or what?

Well, on the hardest the ships get heavier. A lot heavier. And more common.

I played the game on expert from the start, and I thought it was too easy as well. Once I got past the first half or so of the game and got a decent ship, not even the large Groups of Sithrak ships could slow me down much. Though, I have to say that wading through crowds of ships was pretty fun

indeed... :-D... using 2 toxic injectors i would kill in one or 2 shots the Sithrak ships

Have you tried Psychic Flailers yet? Those are WAY too nasty IMHO in the unmodded game. My Abbidon Battleship has 4x Psychic Flailers and 2x crew toxins, and nothing can stop it, except dying, crewless ships running into me

I've noticed that the crew killers make things much easier. If you aren't using them you will find the Sithrak ships (and others) pretty . It seems to me that logically shields should protect against them, at least for the toxic injectors, and probably for the psychic weapons as well. Then they wouldn't be the uber-weapons that they currently seem to be.
