[/quote] He must be talking about in Tactical Combat; I've never tried to launch a satellite in Tactical. Launching from a planet on the main map does put all the sats in one group, since at least Version 1.27

Yes, I've tried that in combat sim. They are separate Groups in tactical but it seems they favor one side of the planet (see attached pic), so the spread is not well-balanced.
