Well it happened again with another game, although all is not totally lost. I wanted to reload back to the previous saved game and it crashed, so I had to go back to the beginnig.

If I save the game before anything is done then I have no problems, but once I process a turn any game I save can not be reloaded, so I can not stop the game.

My next step is to re-down load the patch - maybe it was corrupted and reinstall the game. I am sending the save game files to MM.
