Default Battle question?

I played the demo and isit so that u cant command
your troops on the battle field,only to se in
some caind off "re-run recorded"thing.
Or did I missed something here?

Yes, there is no direct control over the tactical battles, as in you cannot control them as they happen.

You can indirectly control your commanders and troops with fairly detailed orders given prior to a battle. However as HJ says, once it starts you are a spectator only.

This game is designed to be a PBEM game (play by email) which makes certain things fairly automatic. Since the battle you are seeing is "sent back to you" in a turn file, it would be hard to set it up so that you can manage it.

What you do get to do is set your troops into formations, give the commanders general instructions, and turn them loose. Consider it "realism".
