The possibilities are endless. You could also try out some battle enchatements that could take him out. If you want to go through the statues, you could use smashers with your commanders. You could also try a few flying commanders with snake bladder sticks put on hold for a few turns and then attack rear (if he's not immune). It all depends on what you can forge/cast/summon.

Also, if you don't find it too cheesy, you could make a backup copy of the game folder so you can try out different things safely for learning/testing purposes.

Immunity is why I suggest the duskdaggers. Nothing is immune to armor negating damage, and the giants high strength really exploits this. If you aren't worried about immunity the snake bladder sticks (need to be immune yourself for best results) or lightning spears are both great.

crank up the taxes in that province to 200%, use it for capturing blood slaves, pillage it.

While you are doing that continue to send priests to pray instead of siege.

When the unrest is way over 100% then pull out the real troops you have there. Try to tempt him to come out of the castle, split his forces. Even if he takes back the province for a short time he will get almost nothing in taxes, and cant recruit even with any money he gets.

You have plenty of time. You own the province. All you are trying to get now is maybe the gem income.

Mind Hunt, Seeking Arrow and Earth Attack work even during castle sieges (whereas assassins can't get inside).
Oh, and the Soulstone of the Wolves is nifty during castle storming because the wolves appear *inside* the castle. Good distraction.

Hrm... I wonder if a regular Call of Wild (or other summons) will pop troops "under" the siege?

Hey, I diged up this really old thead accidently. However it sparkled my interest - is it true about what happen when you use Soul of Stone while you are storming enemy castle? (troops appear *inside* the walls ) Frankly it sounds just like a rumor to me, but Taqwus seem to be certain. so have anybody tried it?
