Nice! Just post the modified list here if/when you finish, with (ideally) the ID listed as id=#, like this:

Item 'Buckler'
aprot=2, def=1, hands=1, shield=1, res=1, id=57

...and I'll be able to put it back into the sim. The next release of the sim will be able to autogenerate correctly formatted mod files (calculating stats and resource cost for you).
