Re: Sounds like someone just found a bag of money
I suppose that after saying that it would not hurt to tell about a little confrontation I had the other day just before posting the request for a dose of sobriety. I was sitting at the kitchen table eating salsa and chips and chuckling. My sister came in and said I should stop it.
I said : Whats wrong with a little bit of humor ?
She said ***NOTHINGS*** wrong with ***THAT***
and stomped her foot gritting her teeth.
I managed to stifle a roar of laughter....
A couple of times there I changed the spelling from what the keyboard actually typed. Just substitute what you think I should have said.

MS, does write the programs that make the world go round.

Round or truncate, that is the question.
If you try to put a square peg in a round hole then something has to give, otherwise nothing will happen.
Was that over your head ? If so, then whistle for help.

Re: Sounds like someone just found a bag of money
Listen up and by the way listen well.
I will let you continue doing things your way so long as you do not violate the social contracts upon which this nation was founded. I resent this constant fuse blowing and disconnections, so stop doing those two things. In addition to the song previously quoted and to which geoschmo objected, the contract has an even older clause which I QUOTE NOW.
"America America GOD shed his grace on thee, and crowned thy good with brother hood from sea to shining sea."
It can all be a secret. I am content at this time with interesting work, reasonable compensation, a comfortable office, all the comforts of home, and of course congenial companions of the female variety.
If you dislike the existing contract then propose an alternative. I am not a George C Scott or any other big name, but I do have some rights. You know that very well by now.
As I said before, I will say again now.
The long and the short of it is I do not think that I know that.

The Last time I started to make a joke the fuses blew and the light bulbs burned out. So I will not comment on the second two lines of the three you gave......

Re: Sounds like someone just found a bag of money
"IBM - Del, Compaq, Apple..."
To be quite honest, I don't think IBM is bigger than the others... Compaq and Apple though they both aren't very good.
Although I agree that at time Microsoft is monopolistic, I can't agree that Microsoft is a monopoly. I understand that several people are trying to delay the release of WinXP, so why isn't anyone trying to delay the release of OS X (Apple's new operating system)? Or how about sueing the Redhat Linux people?
Maybe Microsoft got so big because its products work better than the rest of the products...
(Of course, the practice of Microsoft forcing its OS on some PCs is wrong... the maker should be able to decide and completely from any kind of corporate retribution)
