Hello, this a short reply from a fellow "newbie".
First question I posed yesterday, and the answers I received I still havent understood yet, thread is somewhere here "stupid technical questions about this forum".
As to how to play: Yes, hours of playing helped me, as well as reading some of the Posts here. Cherry's Newbie Thread is very helpful.
Start with "easy AI".
Experiment. I have tried lots of different startup scenarios (build-a-god) with "identical" strategies afterwards (e.g. make guy X prophet on turn 1, attack Y on turn 2) as well as the exact opposite: try the same starting setup and do different things with it, and I have learned from both.
Sorry I am still a newbie too.
