How is this going?

I would've joined but my mIRC expired awhile ago, and the two other IRC programs I tried wouldn't work....(Visual IRC kept crashing and Leaf IRC would not finish it's search for channels...)

Hrm. You should be able to download another Version of IRC. If not or if you use any other chat program (AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, etc)there is Trillian.

It lumps them all together, so if you have friends/family that use different chat programs you don't have to start up each one for them to talk to them. OR if your GIRLFRIEND must use these programs to talk to her family no matter how much you HATE them it can bundle them up pretty good.

Don't blame me though if your wife/girlfriend puts all her little friends/family to talk for hours on your gaming machine or server machine.

We had a pretty good gaming session Last night got through about 20 turns. I think we have a pretty vast difference in experience between the players and tonight should continue to be pretty good.

Zen is absolutly right you can pretty much use any client, and trillian is excellent if you know people with alot of varying proprietary clients(MSN, yahoo, AIM, etc).

If the game has started then could you go back to the first post and edit the subject to something like the game name? Seeing "Looking to start up a MP game" is going to be a letdown for some folks.
