I know this glitch. It's caused reliably anytime you ALT-TAB on some screens: In particular, the multiplayer server screen with the flags, the "pick races to be in your game" screen, sometimes the Dominion scales selection screen, and a few others. Other screens, such as the main game screen, are safe, but these screens frequently produce that sky, clouds, and letters effect.

Its caused by the method used in getting back. Left-clicking the game on the systray causes it. Using the "restore" on the right-click menu doesnt.

Well, regardless, it's still a bug which occurs frequently in those specific places, even if there's a workaround. I wonder if any of the devs know what, exactly, causes that?

Re: Time to enlighten a newcomer.
I see, thanks for the information on how to work around this bug. Ill use the restore command for now, and I totally forgot about windowed mode.

Re: Time to enlighten a newcomer.
The developers are aware of the issue. I'm not 100% sure but if I am correctly remembering what Johan K said, that particular fault lies in an externally developed library and is thus rather hard for them to work with.
It is likely the developers of that library are aware of the problem and working to fix it themselves, but I don't have any info on that at all, not even half-remembered info.
