Re: Most melee kills in one turn?
I have had them bring down a pair of Vastnesses though, so they certainly have some use.

Re: Most melee kills in one turn?
You could probably up that kill rate tremendously by using area affect weapons like sunslayer, sword of many colors, stone sword, demon whip, harvest blade etc.
Natajara with heroic quickness wielding harvest blade, stone sword and unquenched sword would be interesting. You would probably end up swatting yourself sooner or later with the stone sword though, perhaps ember would be a better choice.

Re: Most melee kills in one turn?
Unfortunately... the limiter seems to be that you can only target one square per turn. So a weapon that targets the whole square doesn't help if you already kill everything in the square...
Against hoburgs, though, it might help.

Re: Most melee kills in one turn?
The Stone Sword and Sword of Many Colors target several squares. Plus there are the various damage shields, e.g. the Aegis.

Re: Most melee kills in one turn?
I actually had a bit of a bash at this Last night. Strangely enough, with a Natajara equipping a harvest blade and a sword of many colors, he never used the sword of many colors ( at least the colorful explosion effect never showed up ).
Sword of many colors and stone sword worked pretty well, but it had a tendency to kill all adjacent targets with one swing, and then never attack with the second, even though there were plenty of units that would have been hit by the area spell of the second swing.
Also, strangely, imps seemed to be immune to the stone sword's effect.
