The irony of this being that the Green Dragon, who is certainly a thematically appropriate choice, and has Swamp Survival, can still become diseased and die, despite the fact that it seems like a natural, appropriate environment for a green DRAGON.

Perhaps units with swamp survival shouldn't be affected as well, since it's supposed to be a swampy morass.

Is there a *good* Evo/Fire spell?

Fire darts is great for a fire9 moloch early on. Around 10 darts with precision 4 generelly hurts something.

Re: Worst Moments!
Graeme Dice,
I agree with you that the documents do say that it can hurt things that aren't cold-blooded.
However...you pick your pretender before you pick special themes...right? So why would that even be available to a warm-blooded pretender if it's going to hurt him?
My reasoning...which I now know to be faulty...was that surely a pretender's own dominion can't kill or harm him. Of course I was dead wrong, but for a new player that isn't totally stupid reasoning.
I just restarted taking another pretender. No harm. And a valuable lesson learned.

Anyways I decided to test out the artifact on a telestic animation statue in case it gave a surprise horror mark the way boots of the planes did. Which the boots of the planes said NOTHING about. I slide the helm onto one of the statues... no afflications or bad side effects. Then I discovered it can't be removed... again the description says nothing about that. Then I realized the mummification spell doesn't work underwater where this statue is at ! And guess what no description at all on the mummification spell either.
Items have a nice history but lack listing the facts. Being that this is a TBS game hopefully Dominions_3 will provide the facts first and the history/story second.

I think it is fun and exiting and not like
Sword of the sunslayers booty
Cursed unremovable kills everything and makes you rot!
So I like it like it is and do not want a change.
But only because I like it dosent mean everything

Re: Worst Moments!
--Rago won't stop summoning lesser horrors... even after a rout!--
Here's the problem I had. Maybe you guys can offer up some suggestions, or at least commiserate. (Also, I'm at work, so please forgive the parts where I forget the names of items.)
I was playing Abyssia (obviously). I took Rago, and equipped him with the "twin spears", one of which allows him to summon lesser horrors. I also equipped him with the "sandals that allow you to teleport around the battlefield", and the "Bracers that reduce/eliminate fatigue". Rago was leading an army, and there were a few other commanders present.
I had this retinue invade an independent territory with a fairly large force. The independent forces routed fairly quickly due in large part to the fact that Rago would teleport all around summoning these horrors. I lost very few units up to this point. Unfortunately, Rago would not stop. I guess the fact that the horrors would turn on my army, caused Rago to get stuck in a loop of summoning. He would summon a horror to counter the previous horror. I lost about 50 units in this manner, and it was only by dumb luck, I suppose, that the battle ever ended.
I am thinking maybe if I remove the bracers next time, he will wear himself out?

Re: Worst Moments!
I think that if you explicitly give a commander orders to Attack, he won't use spells incl. item spells such as calling lesser horrors.
