Default pikemen, glaives, etc.

i haven't recieved my game yet so I don't have the rule book to answser this.

Do pikemen or infantry with glaives recieve the first attack when confronting standard infantry? It seems to me that they do not...but also seems to me that they should.

maybe they recieve a bonus when fighting cavalry?

There's a bit of a bonus when using a longer weapon, because you might be able to force a morale check when somebody with a shorter weapon attacks you.

Search the forum for "repel", and you find more than enough information. Basically, attacking versus longer weapon forces a moral check and if that fails, attack fails too. It the check is made attack is made (surprise!) and attacker gets 1 point of damage. Might be armor piercing/ negating.
