I think Annette handles that. And might not be looking for any competition. This sounds more like a trade-off for people making them look busy. Its a bummer to be at a show like that locked to a table with nothing but air-space nearby. Very lonely. Its just alittle bit too far off for me although hearing that Illwinter is going to try and be there makes it harder to say no.

Re: volunteers for Origins game convention
Polishing the chain mail even as I write What we're looking for, actually, is help with talking to attendees in the booth...questions about game play, helping play demos, and helping with promotional prizes, etc. We found Last year that most of the visitors to our booth had very specific questions and it was hard to spend time with everyone. Plus, it's a lot of fun!

Re: volunteers for Origins game convention
I've got some holiday...
If Shrapnel agree to fly me out from Merrie Aulde England(economy class is cool) and put me up somewhere (a tent is fine, I'm not fussy) then I'd love to come help.

(who is sadly still convinced that eventually one of these "long shots" will pay off :-)

I have an English accent! I could alternate from being really charming, to being really evil, and you could see which helped get most people interested in your stand?

Re: volunteers for Origins game convention
I have offered to volunteer, and have heard nothing back from Shrapnel Games. I would also like to point out that I have experience doing specifically this kind of customer relations work at Origins and GenCon.
If Shrapnel decides they need my services, they can contact me in this thread or privately, at their option.

Re: volunteers for Origins game convention
We'll be contacting all those who have been kind enough to volunteer after the cut off date. Once we match up the volunteers with their requested time slots, we'll be in touch with further information. Sorry for the confusion! And thanks for volunteering
