New Map (Pic Included) - The Harsh land
Hi everyone,
Here's a map that I've been playing around with for a week or so. I don't have time to work on it anymore, so I'm releasing it into the wild.
http://www.pixelkeg.com/dom2/io.zip
Feel free to change and distribute the .map file however you like, but make sure I get credit for the .tga. Here's a preview
Hope you folks enjoy!
Sergio

Re: New Map (Pic Included) - The Harsh land
Well, I know -I- downloaded it but haven't had the time to open it yet due to finals. The art looks great though and I love the idea of a themed map, although wonder how balance would work out MP...
Otherwise, great initial impression!

Certainly is a beautiful map! I just downloaded it. Hopefully I can open up a game with it this evening.
Thanks for the hard work!

Re: New Map (Pic Included) - The Harsh land
Thanks for the nice words.
I'm not sure how the map will perform in MP. It's a pretty straightforward setup, nothing fancy, other than a lot of wasteland and (hopefully) limited resources.
I'm not much of a scripter, but i'm good at making things look good.

Sergio, I've made your map available on my site for downloading. (The .rar format I'm using cuts the d/l size in half for this map, BTW.)

rar may make for smaller file size, but zip is more standard. I had nothing to do on my linux box to be able to dearchive zip files (gzip/gunzip), but rar is different.
