Demon Flying Around the World?
In a recent battle I had Belphegor and Al-Khazim leading a small force that had been whittled down over time in enemy territory. They were attacked by an enourmous force from Ulm and, after losing their entire army, retreated. Al-Khazim retreated to an adjacent province like any sane commander would, but Belephegor was nowhere to be seen. After watching the replay carefully I decided that he wasnt dead and eventually found him, unharmed, some 10 provinces away. He hadnt cast any spell that would have caused him to teleport to safety and the province in question (the desert eye in the desert eye map if it makes a difference)had nothing to do with anything. He had not been summoned there, there wasnt even a fortress or any units there. Is this just some bizzare bug or is there some explanation?

Possible solutions:
* Ritual of returning
* Map neighbor bug
* Strange bug

I'm sure when Dominions_III is developed the map editor will be more user friendly. The best map editors I have used for turn based strategy games are:
Heroes_III Map Editor
Age_of_Wonders_ShadowMagic Map Editor
Hopefully the developers will glance at the features available in these for the map editor in Dominions_III. I realize they won't be able to give us everything we've seen from these map editors but the map editors listed above make an excellent blueprint.

The map neighbour bug looks likely. I think the Map Editor is very hard to use when making neighbours, because somehow they seem to be changed if one changes anything unrelated in the province (like you decide terrain 12 is forest, then you must check all neighbours again).

Re: Demon Flying Around the World?
.. just checked the map .. no neighbour bug to be found.
So unless you fiddled around with the map, we're left with option 3, "strange bug"
Did he by chance come from province 91 or 93 and ended up in Desert Eye (92) ?

Re: Demon Flying Around the World?
Im sure I didnt fiddle around with the map.
I believe he came from province 65 and went to 92 (desert eye).
He Had no items, 2 earth gems, and 6 blood slaves if I remember correctly.
