It would be boring for the teenagers at least, raging hormones and such

, but I think a race like that may be interesting. An isolationist race.
In a large quadrant with time to develop it might not start as many wars to early.
About the Colonials, I noticed that too. I think a lot of their units are fighters and mines. Doesn't take long to get 100's of mine out there.
