Re: MP Game - on Mosehansen - Cradle of Uncivilization (Port 2280)
Yeah, well, no rest for the weary. It's still your turn again.
Djtool staled his Last turn. Any idea what happened to him?

I just sent him a message - if he hasn't taken his turn in the next several hours, I'll set his nation to AI.
And put the snert's name in a "No djtool" houserule for any new mosehansen games I start.

Re: MP Game - on Mosehansen - Cradle of Uncivilization (Port 2280)
Well - djtool has finally actually gone AI, after giving Caelum a bunch of free turns while T'ien C'hi wasn't even trying to recall their pretender.
R'lyeh (anonymous) quit right after losing their pretender, and Jotunheim started as an AI, giving Norfleet three AI opponents to romp on, one of them unconscious.
Meanwhile, no surprises here - Cohen quits again, leaving me to battle against a stronger player than him - the AI. At least Cohen is living down to his tradition.

Well, with your pretender killed thrice, and 5 provinces in turn 15 or so, and a Vanheim force at the door of your capitol, without anything except 2-3 devils to stop them, I believe there's little to do.

You did the same things you always do, Cohen. First - you made a colossal gambit, throwing out your pretender (an almost crippled pretender at that) with a bunch of magic items on it, hoping and gambling that it could single handedly defeat the invading forces and restore your position.
You didn't send along supporting troops. You didn't send along supporting mages - which, with Abysia, you should've had quite a few.
And then, as always, you quit when things aren't going your way, instead of playing it out. What would it have taken - 5 minutes a day, at most? It's not like this was a blitz game, where you'd be sitting idle waiting for everyone else to finish their turns.
No - you, and the quitters like you, quit as soon as you aren't happy, and the hell with the effect on the game. At least this time you didn't start a war being too greedy, ruin another person's empire, and then quit, like you have other times.
Feh. I'm going to start hosting some games, banning people like you, because y'all screw up the games by quitting and thus imbalancing the game for the people still playing.
I suppose I should congratulate you though - at least you _did_ go AI, and didn't just leave your nation sitting idle for someone to eat up, like T'ien C'hi's player did.
For God's sake, People! After you try going AI - try logging back into the game! If you were successful, you won't be able to! If you can - TRY AGAIN!

Tien Chi wasn't trying to recall his pretender because it wasn't dead, far as I know. I Last saw it alive in his capitol which I am now sieging. Having him try to bust out rather than idling away in his capitol probably would have made my job easier, though. At least then I wouldn't have needed to use *4* horns instead of just the 2 I originally brought, but found couldn't bust down the doors.
