Is anyone (Shrapnel?) going to the Games Convention?
Games Convention
Gimme a tell. We could get drunk. Or talk about Dominions and get drunk.

Not really. German videogamers suck, at least the youngsters that populate such events, and you'd need to be drunk beforehand.
However, for serious gaming, don't forget to come to the Spiel 2004 in Essen (end of October), the largest board- and cardgaming fair in the world. Reportedly some mature (not synonymous with "adult", in this case) computer gamers are also hanging around...
On the other hand, if against all odds this was actually fun, let us know.

Well the GC has become the worlds 3rd biggest computer gaming event even before the ECTS so some people might have a professional reason to attend.

Hmmm the plane ticket would cost me $15.
Unfortunately I dont think I can get free for it.

First off, its not exactly done by tickets. You have to be military retired.
Secondly, you probably wouldnt like the flight. Flying in military cargo planes, especially long distances, takes abit of getting used to.
