[Replacement needed] Experimental killer game
I'm looking for a replacement for Caelum in a PBEM game I'm hosting, as the current player seems to have vanished.
The rules are explained in this thread: Players needed for an experimental game
To make it short, in this game you're both an assassin and a victim. You scores points by ensuring your victim's nation is obliterated from the face of the world, while trying to thwart your own assassin's plans. Easier said than done, as you know who your victim is (even its complete nation and pretender design), but you have no clue about who your assassin really is.
The game is still in the early phase (turn 10). If you're interested, email me at nagotgickfelZyahooZfr (replace the 2 Zs with the relevant email punctuation: @ and .) and I'll provide more info.

This was a once per day game, right? I remember being definitely interested, but unable to afford the time.

It's been more like 2-3 turns per week.

Re: [Replacement needed] Experimental killer game
At the moment it's more like 3 turns/week. In theory it's 1 turn/day (monday-friday), but if someone is missing a turn, the game is delayed for an extra 24 hours, at which point I issue basic orders for the nation (if need be - players who can't submit orders are encouraged to send detailed orders via email), and I generate the next turn. It seems I've always at least 2-4 players using this feature so indeed the turnrate is much slower than I'd like.

Re: [Replacement needed] Experimental killer game
I can handle three turns a week, if you are willing to pause the next weekend (not this, but the next). I am at a gaming convention in a medieval castle, and there's no such thing as electricity or internet from thursday to monday for me.
If that's okay for you, and the fact that I suck playing Caelum, I'll join.

Excellent. Just send me an email (address in the first post in this thread) to get full details about the game. Don't worry too much about playing Caelum, a lot of players in this game are newbies who are playing their first MP game.

Re: [Replacement needed] Experimental killer game
Okay, speaking of playing as a newbie MP gamer in D2, I've been trying to stay in character and roleplay my empire. It has actually been fun.
Ermor set I tone with the global message and I thought from there I could do that too. So I send carefully phrased missives from my most pussiant pretender and patron of men and so far the best answers I get are like, "That's cool dude!" or "Sure buddy."
Oh well. Hope other folks pick up on the role play a bit more. [img]/threads/images/Graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]
