Jinxed forum!
I think this forum is jinxed. The day before the talk with Malfador was planned my computer broke down. Arg!!
After some investigation I discovered my HD was intact, but that my processor was cooked. WTF?! My processor fried? Yup, he was history. So I went to a computerstore and bought a nice new processor and put it in. Everything all and well. NO! Arg! After I started my computer again, it failed again. Damn, what is it this time? Okay, this is getting weird. My GPU had died. So again, I go to a store and buy a fresh new GPU. I put it in and I don't start it up yet. First I measure through the powersupply. Ah yes, there is the fault. The stupid thing has had it's best time behind it. Somehow a few coper windings on the main side of the transformer fused and gave a slightly higher current (so what my computer is bit older than the modern machine?). This was funest for my other parts. I quickly bought another powersupply and put the machine together again. This time it held and everthing is well again.
This stupid stroke of bad luck has cost me my talk with Malfador and a pile of money. [img]/threads/images/Graemlins/mad.gif[/img]
With a smile on my face I blame this forum. Everyone remember the loss of Captain Kwok's HD and the string of HD losses that followed it? That was freaky.
Sorry for not being able to attend the Malfador talk session. I will quickly check the thread about it.
