Newbie question: fighters in the demo?

In the demo you don't have all the techs that the full game has and there improved engines in the tech tree which you give more speed. Nor are all the fighter designs in there is medium and heavy fighters further up the tree. I don't have access to game right now to check on light fighters as I tend to use heavy fighters that have combat speeds of 9 with room left for a rocket pod. But I think speeds of 5 or 6 is possible and still have room for a pod in a light fighter design.

More than 9 is possible with the full Version (max of the best engines and an aferburner). This will creat a very fast fighter but you will have to use a weaker weapon.
