AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Someone else's pretender is playing Caelum!!! Its a different password!!!! noooooooo!!!!


I uploaded my pretender like 5 times to be sure!!! And it still didn't override the first person's pretender!?!?

I just checked and I was able to log in with my password with Caelum. Looks like it's Borked. Sorry Lex. Maybe we can restart. I don't know though with this many people.

I hope I don't get a key violation for checking.

I also got my 1st shot at my pretender design instead of my latest Version. But I'll live they were both good.

I've just made myself anonymous on Mose server (you can kick me now) and I'll upload a pretender fresh. is there a way to restart without everyone reuploading pretender?

i will write esben a pm or post in the thread for his server to ask him what we can do

hopefully there is a solution without restarting the game .

i fear though that the 2 solutions are :
-continue the game and Huzurdaddi plays caelum or gives you his password and you play his caelum
-stop the game and everybody has to upload again

Confirmation is up to you, Boron. As game owner, I know that prior to game starting you will see an option to kick all anonymous players. I know this option disappears in later turns, and I'm pretty confident that it's not there on turn 1 (but since I own no games on turn 1 - I can't confirm, tho you can). If you don't see such an option, then we know we're hosed.

I agree that it is unlikely Esben will have a solution for us, but do please post us asap, as soon as you hear back from him.

As much as it is a large PITA, I don't think in the big picture it's that it's such huge issue for everyone to re-upload. We would lose a day worst case, and I know if I were in Lex's shoes, it'd be pretty frustrating to play someone else's pretender.

I don't see the kick anonymous players option anymore .

But i had an idea which i posted now on Moses serversthread :

If Lex sends manually his pretenderfile to Mose perhaps Mose can replace Huzurdaddi's pretenderfile with Lex's pretender and everything works . What do you think ?

i will check every 2-3 hours now the thread hopefully Mose answers soon .
As long i keep the game running and if Mose's response is negative then we can rehost .

we've all got our pretenders tweaked already, and everyone's about to login for their first turn, except instead of playing turn 1, we simply reupload and start asap (its not like the first couple of turns are the most thrilling anyways)

as for the kicking-of-anonymous-players, i guess I've just proved that you've gotta do it. if anyone sees this happen again, you can say you've seen it live and bought the tshirt.

Uhm lots of players have probably overwritten their pretender already again

I just wait a bit now for Mose's reply and if it is negative i restart then ok ?
But i hope that my suggested "walkaround" works and it would be the easiest solution then cause nobody needs to reupload anything then
