Re: Sound FX
Do you have the latest drivers for your sound and video cards installed? How about DirectX?

Latest updates on all hardware.
P4 2.8g
MSI MB
512MB 400mhz DDR RAM
175G HDs (no RAID)
SB Audigy 2 Plat
Radeon 7500
Other than it not wanting to run in windowed mode, I had no real problems before because of the game itself, they were all resulting from my altering the game files.
This new problem I am not sure about. :/

Re: Sound FX
Hey... ah, I just checked something in my files...
Is there a 'maximum' speed for ships in the game?
I've noticed that fighters max out at 1.5 (1500), so I've been adjusting my other ship hulls to be able to come closer to that (1200 peak ATM with the lightest hulls).

Re: Sound FX
There isn't a max speed for ships, I think. However if you try to set weapon speeds too high the weapon has a tendancy to blow up randomly..

Weapon speeds... as in reload speeds, or the speed of the projectile?
I've sped up the reload speeds just to make the game a little more fast paced, but I lowered the damage. Right now I'm trying to judge range/damage/reload balace for the existing and perhaps future weapons.

..
You know, given all the issues you're having I'm starting to suspect Starfury and your machine just can't play nice.

Everything played perfectly fine, aside from the expected glitches that arise when tinkering.
But when I started tinkering with the sound files, everything went to hell in a handbasket, and I'm still trying to convince the wolf to give the basket back...
That's too bad, too, because I had some really nice sounds going for a while there.
