Okay, here's your daily update on my quest to make nice 3D planets.
This time a lavamoon. I added lightning to dramatize it a bit. Makes the lave come out very nicely.

nice, nice and diabolical. Be sure to wear your asbestos boots if you take a walk on that planet.  I'm also guessing that it is a mineral rich planet. (where did I put my nice robo-miners? looks like I found a good planet to leech.

How did you create that planet ?!? I suppose it was somehow made with lunarcraft, but you must have added some pretty good layers and filters...could you explain how you got that "lava" effect.
