Some of the TDM Mod Pack races are very good at remakeing the galaxy map to their liking. Some other ones also use star destroyers -- but they're kinda random in selecting what star to nuke.

The AI open holes to systems that has not scouted yet... And usually open the hole from an empty system or a system where has not planets.
