I also had a hard time. I had two tries running concurrently before the third one worked.
I hate to stop and restart as that seems to give problems too.

I restarted the game. It seems to have fixed the problem, whatever it was. That also set the timer back to 24 hours, and this should prevent all those people who could not make their move from getting a stale.
Post here if anyone is still having problems.

However, given that the game is unavailable for my inspection, I doubt I will ever be sure that WAKKO is actually putting quill to paper.
