I think the word you are searching for is "ostracism" Gandelf. It came fom the Ancient Greece, than it migrated into Latin, and from there to other european Languages. And yes, it could be more fun than ignoring or banning, forum-wise.

It could be a bit hard to implement though, considering the fact that not all people accept cookies in their browsers, which you would likely need to implement such a feature. But the idea is interesting.
