sequence of events?
I have troops in my castle and troops in an adjacent province. My castle is under seige. If I send the troops in from the adjacent province and "break siege", will my troops in the castle join the troops from the other province in battling the siegers? If my enemy sends in additional troops from another adjacent province, will they be in the battle, or will they arrive for another battle?
Thanks!

Related question: I seem to be able to pay to recruit troops in my sieged castle, but they show up gray. What gives?

Both the inside and outside troops will join for the battle. The units are in grey because you can purchase them, but they won't arrive while you are under seige.

Re: sequence of events?
Thank you! So if I'm under seige for several turns, will all the troops arrive as soon as the siege is broken, or will the number of troops produced be limited to one turn's resources?

Re: sequence of events?
from patch 2.13:
# Unit recruit lists are greyed out while besieged.
You used to be able to buy them and they just would not show up, a waste of your money. Now the game prevents you from recruiting. I couldn't even make a temple with a priest stuck in a castle in my Last game.

Re: sequence of events?
In addition to not being able to build structures while under siege, you cannot destroy them. Something to keep in mind if you are doing a scorched earth strategy and think you might get caught up in a siege

Re: sequence of events?
If you try to recruit units while under siege and you don't manage to break it, the money is wasted. If you do break the siege, then the units of the Last turn are recruited as they normally would.
