Dreadnoughts vs Baseships

Baseships are better. If you retroseries build you can build them pretty fast. And the extra shield and massive weapons make up for the lack of speed and 40% greater to hit penalty. You need 2-3 dreadnoughts just to get past a baseship's shields. Whereas one baseships can wipeout 1.5 dreadnoughts in a turn.

Simply put, I use them both.

Usually, I use dreadnoughts, because in most games that I play (PBW) I don't Last long enough to get baseships! However, in games where I have plenty of resources and a full tech start (Like RTH 2) I build mostly baseships, due simply to the increased firepower and the extra shielding you can fit on a ship that's 500Kt larger than the dreadnought.
