I once had a problem with a game and had to switch to running the AI. I did not have auto save on so I was manually saving the game. I forgot to do so and ran over 200 turns before I switched over to the AI to see what they were doing. Ya I know its considered cheating, but I was curious. When I switched back I marked all of them as AI player and guess what happened next........

Unless you count the times I've started a game with JUST my empire (in which case the "You have won" dialog pops up immediately) then I've never finished one either  I've always abandoned them pretty soon after it was clear I'd won, or just lost interest, or hit a stalemate. |

I've never beaten a game, everytime I come close either the comp crashes or it just gets dull repetition after it's just me and one other empire left dividing up half the universe and them having those irritating gravity shield generators that totally scew with a quick chance to end the game by invading them at three or four points at once!

I never finish the whole map because I lose interest once there is no longer a challenge.
Edit: removed some personal stuff I have come to think no one really cares about.

ah don't worry Narf I don't care about arguments or anything . I just realised that even I am sick of going on about what I think so likely no one else would care to hear it.
Edit: anyway lets just shutup about all that stuff and let the thread get back to what its supposed to be about. |
