Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
A cold diet-mountin dew.... very very little alcohol since the service, I think I got my fill back in my younger days. Oh, on a real real hot day a nice iced glass of cold beer
but that's rare.. I stick to juice and diet dew.... Also less calories, at my age, no extra weight is welcomed....
just some ideas mac

Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
coffee..coffee..coffee....is there anything else
I have found no other reason to drink alcohol than to get drunk, which I just don't like to do anymore...
interesting reading of all the drinking choices...... couple questions/comments
1) Is sweet tea the same thing as Ice Tea ??
2) hmmmm...SEIV players not big drinkers a correlation between the two??
3) apprarently Tequila is the only alcholic beverage that DOES NOT cause depression when intoxicated....being made from Guava plant (I think that's the right plant) gives it some special property.....
4) all the water drinkers seem to be "tap water" drinkers as oppossed to "bottle water" drinkers....I am surprised! all I see everywhere now is bottled water, bottled water blah blah (and such a ripoff to boot...)

Yeah, we disagree about Southern Baptists, but you're dead right about tea! I call that "real iced tea" as opposed to all other kinds. I never thought of it as Southern, though. That's just how my mom made it.

Re: Time for another touchy- feely get-to-know-you thread.
Bottled water is a ripoff! I can't understand why anyone would buy that crap. I work in a grocery store and you would be suprised how much of that stuff we sell. I live in a small town so selling over a fifty gallons a day is a lot. (You may think that number an exageration, but personally I think it may be a bit low)
It's crazy, bottled water is exactly the same stuff you get from the tap only it tastes worse becuase of all the **** they do to it. People are crazy.
Like I said, GRAVY!

Depends on where you live. Out here in the "Midwest" you will often find that a small community cannot get a decent water supply that isn't heavily contaminated with farm runoff. It may meet all the formal 'safety standards' but it still tastes like sh*t. Bring bottled water in from another city just 20 miles away or so and it tastes like regular tap water. For the community stuck with the 'fertilizer special' water source, that's GOOD water.
But in many other cases, yeah, people are paying good money for a fancy label slapped on a bottle of tap water. <shrug>... They also pay more for brand name cereal, vegetables, etc. It's the nature of human logic, I guess. Make it look spiffy and it must be valuable.

I think this is an old comedians joke but...
Evian Bottled Water is "naive" spelled backwards...
