But even I've not had much SE4 playing lately. But that's only cause my computer's in the shop for the third time this month.
First it was video drivers, then the motherboard, now my CD-rom only reads the disk if you boot up with it in the drive. (Open & close the drive, and the disk is blank).

Send me a map, and give me a detailed description of the scenario, and I'll create it for you.
I'll need to know the game style (sim, hotseat, etc), and what mod it will be run under.
I can even give each of your players a single super-high tech flagship if you want, with anything that can be designed under the mod, even racial techs. The player will have to decide whether to analyse it, or fight with it.
Playing with an Irreplacable ship or facility can be really interesting.

QUOFF! Captain Spoogy has been regularly posting since March. In fact, proportionately (based on days joined), I made almost as many Posts as you have!

As well, have you not seen IOC sucks? I started that - over 130 Posts! PBW "Newbie Game", involved in that - and the recent "I enjoy Space Empires because..." that's quickly becoming I am a Canadian Space Empires player...

Oops, sorry Cap, momentary brain fart, was just thinking of the 'old' regulars and your name just popped into the brain. And yes I have been skimming the 'IOC sucks' thread, nothing much to add as most of my points have been already made.(kinda like reading the Boards over at DC comics, with the 'death' of one of their major black characters, too many points of view, with reality just being somewhere out there....)

Puke, will have to get back to you on the 'House Wars' stuff, was just in the 'hazy' stage right now, basicly wanted everyone to be a ruler of a 'minor' house (read:race, using a 'human type' shipset) in a succession war scenario, wanted everyone to be differnet but 'balanced'(ie, someone starts with Cap missile V, and someone else with cruiser, someone else with Religious Tech 4 etc.)<but that starting ship sounds incredible, might just go for that instead>. They would fight among themselves for a 'successor' to the throne. Had some other stuff in mind but will refrain from posting(don't want to spoil too much .)

That and there is something I have noticed, and maybe others have as well, it took almost no time for this board to reach 20,000Posts, but it is taking forever to reach 30,000. Holy cow! I didn't realize that SJ had the rank of General. So, I'm not at the top of the heap yet! I'll have to keep posting! Still, being a Colonel is quite an accomplishment. Is there a list somewhere of how many Posts you have to be responsible for to get each rank?

Of course the game is losing its addictiveness. The novelty wears off of any game after a while. Don't worry, there will be some new goodies sooner or later. I think we'll at least get drones before work on SE V begins. The pictures are included in every shipset, he has to use them.
