Re: Ideas for two new PBW games
Twenty-four hour turns? Any way that can be bumped up to, say, 48 hours, at least on W&D? When I complete my Quest For Gainful Employment, I may not be able to post every single day (though I'd still try my damnedest).
If the consensus says keep 24 hours, then I'll deal with it. If need be, I can always let someone else deal with the mess that the AI would make of my little commune....

Re: Ideas for two new PBW games
Quikn,
I prefer to leave it on 24 hours, unless many people object. On the other hand, I am on the same Quest for Employment as you are, so maybe in a few weeks things will change and we'll see if we can still manage the 24-hour turnaround.
All: invite your friends, find us that Last player we need to get started !

Re: Ideas for two new PBW games
Well, I just joined another 24-hour game, so I probably should just quit my bellyaching.... (This makes eight games I'm in! Am I a glutton for punishment, or just a hopeless addict?)

Re: Ideas for two new PBW games
Yep, we are in the Ancient game together, 24 hour turns. Will be my first time in an ancient galaxy.
All: we now have the full set of 9 players for the W&D game. We still need 3 players for the "Isolation Breakout" game though.
I guess that one takes a special kind of player to appreciate

Re: Ideas for two new PBW games
We are almost ready to start with the War & Diplomacy game. Do you think I should create a discussion thread for the game here on Shrapnel?
That worked great for the Newbie games, but response to the Spiralus thread has been so-so.. guess it depends on the players.

I'd say it depends on whether anyone outside the game would be interested in reading the thread. If so, keep it here. If not, use the Game Forum on PBW.
As for IB: I think it'd be fun, but I don't think I quite have the strategic and diplomatic know-how to succeed in that one. 'Sides, I got enough to keep me occupied!

Re: Ideas for two new PBW games
Guys,
I am waiting to get started with both games, but two people are very slow in sending in their empire files. I have emailed them, and if they don't respond soon I'll kick them.
Start looking for a replacement player just in case :-)
