Default System/Planet Facility Stacking

There are various sorts of facilities that have both a system-wide version and a planet-wide version.

Do these two versions compliment each other and stack, or is a planet-wide facility of the same type (such as the intel "databank") useless when in the same system as a system-wide facility?

Thanks in advance.

IIRC, they do stack.

In most cases one planet facility and one system facility stack with each other, but extras of either have no effect. Notable exceptions are planet-wide value and condition improvement facilities, and planet-wide happiness modifiers in mods that have them. These facilities stack infinitely. Also, sector-based training facilities stack if they are in the same sector but not on the same planet. This means planets with lots of moons are the best places to put training centers.

Ah, alright.

Just another quick question on the subject of training - do computer operated units/fleets benefit at all from any of the training facilities?

Yes, those pesky master computers can gain experience from their actions! Even if it's just training.

You mean forces belonging to an AI player? They do if they happen to end a turn in the right sector, but the AI isn't smart enough to use them deliberately. The only way AI controlled fleets usually get trained is if the race is psychic and has the system-wide training facilities built everywhere, which don't stack.

If you mean ships with master computers instead of bridge, life support, and crew quarters, there's no difference. The master computers get trained at exactly the same rate as everything else.
