Re: Who is your favorite SC?
I equipped a Tien Chi immortal hero as an SC and sent him into combat (alone versus a huge army, but in my dominion)... and he got mind-enslaved =) Immortality is not perfect. I can't remember how respawning worked after my immortal got taken by the enemy.

Re: Who is your favorite SC?
If you've done the research, and have both the death-7 and nature-4 (GoR) casters, it's hard to beat Tartarians for their sheer hp and other base stats, their frequently useful innate magic (and the earth/air guys are fixed), full set of slots (for the humanoids), zero enc... they're not ethereal, immortal or flying (other than the Manticore Monstrum) but they're very, very buff.
Among uniques, Ambicephalos the Ettin Mandragora deserves a nod for good base hp, decent stats, three hand and two head slots, sleep vines, and recuperation.

Re: Who is your favorite SC?
For non uniques I've had good success with the tarrasque (GoR'd). Put 2 of the following on him:
amy of resilience
immunity ring
regen ring
luck charm
Don't use him on undead.
I don't intend to put "wished up VQ" on the poll, but VQ will be there.

Re: Who is your favorite SC?
Yeah a VQ with these or even more Pathes as starting magic is still my most loved SC :
It is only an indy expansion SC though , storm + eagle eyes or aim + dust to dust and ... .
But you can expand quickly and then summon AQs immediately .

Looks cool .
Unfortunately a little bit fragile also :
With the current gear no Air/Fire resistence .
And mind duel will always be an issue .
But defense is absolutely GODLIKE .
Fortunately there is the eye shield or Petrify against though

Ooops, I forgot about Vastnessess. They only have accessory slots, and it takes a little bit of empowering to get them up to speed, but wow=) Watching hordes of indy heavy cavalry run into a giant molecule and die is very entertaining! And the great strategic movement ability is a huge plus, as well.
