Resource Converter Bug????
I have not seen this before. But my Resource Converter is going haywire and making all sorts of unauthorized conversions. I scrapped the facility and it is still happening? My AI and Ministers are completely turned off, I have checked multiple times. This is preventing me from unmothballing ships and make retrofits. Any ideas? This is a PBW game.

Re: Resource Converter Bug????
Did you put the planet with the converter on repeat orders? I wouldn't expect it to keep converting even after you scrapped the facility, but you never know...

Re: Resource Converter Bug????
It looks like you have switched on "Repeat Orders" on a planet with a resource converter. Quite a few people have done so in the past (myself included), and the symptom seems to be similar.
Have you checked around your Empire for other planets with a resource converter? Scrapping the converter should have solved the problem, though you might still want to check the orders of that planet: there could be a bug allowing a scrapped Converter to still go on with resource conversions. Either that, or you have a converter busy somewhere else.

Re: Resource Converter Bug????
That was the problem I had it set up to launch fighters continuously and it was converting resources at the same time. Fixed it. Thanks.

Launch fighter CONTINOUSLY? Remeber, there is a max limit for units in space! Soon, you may find you can launch no more fighters/sats/mines because of your fleet of fighters tucked away in a system. Also, planets can launch 1000 fighters per turn... please don't tell me you've got thousands of fighters there? Or are you building them there / shipping them in?

Re: Resource Converter Bug????
There is nothing wrong with launching units continuously... It is a great tool for reducing micromanagement. Have every planet launch satellites and mines automatically so that you don't have to do it manually. Have them launch fighters automatically so that you can just move them to a collection world in the system, where you send carriers to pick them up. Saves a lot of movement points for the carriers too, as they don't have to travel to every tiny planet in the system.

Plus cargo space may be an issue. A tiny unbreathable planet can't hold all that many fighters.

Re: Resource Converter Bug????
Had the planet building large fighters. It was launching them and I would move the fighter group to a collection world every couple of turns. The planet can only produce about 4 fighters a turn so no danger of running up against my limits. We are on turn 77 of this particular game and fighters are largely useless right now, but by moving a couple of groups of 100 to a warp point they give a little boost to warp point defense. They have also been useful for deep penetration raids. (Open Warp point send the carriers through, launch fighters, retreat carriers, Close Warp Point - fighters attack planets).

Nice trick! Perhaps those fighters are worth something for offence after all...
