Re: Forum filter?
If a moderator deletes a post they will most likely notify you about it. However I have never seen a posted deleted by a moderator in the four years that I have been here. I have seen them moved before but again, you should have received a PM if that was the case.

Re: Forum filter?
I've actually deleted a fair number.
However they were all ones with no content.
IMO, there is no sense in having a bunch of old "Bump" and "<Deleted/Nevermind>" posts sitting around in the middle of threads where they have no use anymore.

Re: Forum filter?
Actually thank you for pointing that out Atrocities. We have a general policy that if a mod wants to remove an inflamatory post (not a "bump" or "<deleted/nevermind> type thing) that they move it to the private moderator forum so that the admins know what was removed and for what reason in case there are questions asked later. Then they are supposed to PM the user and let them know why it was removed.
You're post probably had some sort of error when posting TurinTurambar, that's all.

Re: Forum filter?
At least this isn't this one forum with the weirdest filter I saw - it replaced "damn" with "darn", so I decided to try testing it out... can you figure out what "girl thingycat" means?

Re: Forum filter?
Or what how they got "Behind Closed Doors" means?
I mean it totally ruined the angery meaning of my post. "Hey you know what, people like you who want to hurt people for just being people can go *Behind Closed Doors* yourself!."

Re: Forum filter?
Heh. Darn means damn, so replacing one with the other doesn't really make sense, does it? It's just a way for people to claim they didn't swear.

Re: Forum filter?
It couldn't do that... "Hi diddly HO neighboreeno?" It would have to censor itself
