Gaap the Ice Devil (Berzerker bug??)

You cannot lose berserker rage mid-battle. Was he by any chance poisoned or something like that?

Nopers.
He layed the beats down. The Indies retreated, then turned back to attack again when all they're leaders were off map, then got smacked down again. The indies retreated a second time. When all defenders were finally off map.....Gaap lost his berzerker rage, then died a second later with 86 hp. I don't get it.

Hell swords are leeching weapons... Leeched hp's are consumed over time, but I that wouldn't drop him down below his maximum... Was he glowing purple (decay)?

Did he disappear from the battle screen (perhaps with a burst of blood) or did he just not appear in the province commander list after the battle?

If you have your game file, you could upload it so others could see what's going on.
