Why are there clams that turn water to astral, but no limpets that turn astral to water? Why are there no shock resistant transparent dragons? Why is there a 20-gem staff that casts the level 5, 4-path, 1-gem spell Storm, but no 20-gem shoes that cast the level 5, 4-path, 1-gem spell Undead Horde? Why are death and nature boosters so easy to get?

Symmetry is lame and dull. If there isn't some sort of problem with it, why equalize it?

Though I agree Green Dragon armor verges on useless(But is still superior to Hydra Armor under certain circumstances. Rare circumstances).

Also, armor+partial resistance is effective against fire, since only one fire spell is armor negating, whereas only resistance protects against lightning.

That is a good point.

Prot 9 vs prot 15 seems like a somewhat significant difference. Hard to say how it balances between regen and extra poison resistance.

Yeah . Symetry = Chess . Nice but the Starcraft-Balance-Approach is better and more realistic also .

And Firemagic is not as dangerous as Airmagic also so the 50% FR are justified . Furthermore there is the Burning pearl then you have 100% FR and +4 to attack if you use it with the Fire Plate

Heh.... hehehehehe....

There's nothing like symmetry to make something work well.

For myself, I see no reason why the Flame Plate couldn't give fire immunity. Most likely, it's not that so much as the Shock Plate does Charge Body, and you do not want that discharging if you can take damage from lightning.

Fire immunity was taken from Fire Plate because it made the fire resistance ring worthless, for the most part. Fire resistance is fairly easy to get, from various cheap 1H weapons, accessories, a helmet, a shield, and so forth - and as mentioned, fire is only armor-piercing, not armor-negating. Lightning resistance is much harder to get, copper plate gives slightly lower protection, and lightning is armor-negating. 50% lightning resistance is almost useless in many cases where 50% fire resistance is very valuable.

Couldn't you make the same argument for the Copper Plate, then?

Nihongo ga chotto heta desu Nihonjin to nihongo wa okashii desu... so omoimasu.

But on topic, yes, copper plate renders the ring worthless, in most cases. If the ring gave +1 precision or the plate gave 75% resistance, that might be a different matter...

copper plate gives extra encumbrance, so for the mage ring may be a better choice especially with a rainbow armor which is a better use for armor slot.
