I've got a win98 boot disk...Any way to create a dos boot disk? (And if nessasary, I've got a win95 disk too - I could create a partition on the D drive, install that, repair XP and have three OS's...MWUHAHAHAHEahem...Scuse me.

You can build a DOS 6.something or other disk set from the 98 cd. IIRC there is a DOS folder on the cd.

How did you do that? I had tried exactly that before only to receive the same error: it could only be installed on the first partition. Do you need to pass an argument to the installer? (Never tried that route)
I think my 98 disk is borked ...
(Sorry for interrupting your thread, I'm curious now  )

Nope, just told it to install 98 to the D drive
No problem.
Unfortunatly, I'm using a backup copy of our 98 cd and it doesn't seem to have a dos folder on it. Nor can I find the original. It is 'somewhere'.

Even with a MS-Dos boot-disk (Created with the XP format command), it still comes up with the same error.
Is it possible I simply have to much memory?
