An Inprovement Idea
Ok, its seldom that I get these, so bare with me.
I would like to see this feature added.
1. When you click on the VIEW ORDERS icon, and the window opens, would it be possible to add the image of where this ship is going, and if you click the image, you go directly there so you can actually see the target location.
2. Add an icon that tells a ship to "Go To Last Ordered Destination, or Resume Previous Order.
This would be very helpful when your ship runs out of supplies, and you have to fleet it up with another ship to resupply it. When its resupplied, you can simply tell it to go to Last order location.

3. Support for wheel mouses. It would really improve the function of the game if one could use the wheel mouse to scroll down a list.
4. Drag and Highlight selected items. This way, you can highlight as many items in a window as you want, and then select what you want them to do. IE, you select 5 ships by right clicking and highlighting them, and them dragging them over to the fleet window. Wella, 5 ships in a new fleet in one step.
5. A button that will alow you to BUILD ON ALL PLANETS, or BUILD ON ALL SHIPYARDS, or BUILD ON ALL PLANETS AND SHIPYARDS. This way, you can fill all the construction ques at the same time to build say, troops, ships, stations, mines, fighters, etc all at the same time.

At the moment, I just want some of the politics settings (like AI demanding surrender) working, and a description of what determines an AI state. If possible, I would really like to see the possibility of modding a AI State AI file for each race to allow AI's to have defferent conditions putting them in those states.

3. If he would just use the standard built-in scrolling function from Windows instead of writing his own we'd have wheel-mouse and the scroll-bar would work like you expect -- moving down one screen when you clock in the bar instead of jumping all the way down the list, for example.
4. It would be nice to have shift-click or some other multi-ship select option the the fleets screen, wouldn't it? Would also be nice to be able to make a fleet of ships use their emergency supply/movement pods as a group.
5. Even better would be to have definable 'build programs' that you could apply to a given planet before turning it over to the minister. Right now, there's exactly ONE 'build program' for each colony type and you have to create in the game settings files outside of the game. In Stars! you could setup a 'script' in-game for a planet, and make several 'generic' scripts that you could then apply to any planet.
