If what they say about the duration of the games is correct, that places it in direct competition with Wesnoth. Which IMO looks a lot more polished and playable.
The one thing that I am curious about is if multiplayer is done with serial-turns (like wesnoth) or paralle-turns (like dominions). If multiplay was in parallel I would give it a look.

Funny (the Wesnoth comparison), that's exactly what I thought . And I largely prefer Wesntoh-style graphics (but that's personal taste) .

Looks like it could be fun.
What is this Wesnoth you speak of?

It's an open source turn base strategy game, which is "simple" to understand and play, but which can be challenging, even against the AI.
It's cute, try it!

Re: New Shrapnel game
It should be noted that Wesnoth isn't finished yet. That doesn't mean it isn't playable - it's very playable, and there are a lot of user-made campaigns etc. But it is (right now) version 0.8.11, with a list of changes that have to be made before 1.0
Website is www.wesnoth.org if you want to check it out. It's a lot of fun.

Those guys are real perfectionists, what they call 0.8 would be labelled 3.4 by most publishers
I run Wesnoth stable and fine since 8.5, and there's already a bunch of campaigns both official and user-made.

Re: New Shrapnel game
I have to say that Tiny Hero's graphics are unappealing to me. I tend to ignore graphics in favor of game play, but when something looks really amateurish, I am reminded of the hundreds of shareware games that I played only once.
Is it multiplayer online only? If so, it's in a tough niche.
