The sad thing is, that this forum is rather nice just because of the niche it covers. If one of the games would have been a big seller there would be loads of not-so-very-nice peoples out here. with popularity comes the fools. It was so with CS, it was so with FA (another Half-Life mod) and in general it's so with about everything. You see a big basket of apples only needs a few rotten ones to go bad. and the more people you have the higher the chance of having bad apples.

Yes, this forum is definitely the best I've seen anywhere. Here, everybody is civilized, helpful, and respectful to each other. The members here in this forum are the greatest.
Some other forums are full of rude and immature people. A new member asks a question and a bunch of people jump on him and ridicule him saying it's a stupid question or saying he should read the manual or do a search first. If somebody posts on a thread that's more than a week old, there's a string of angry posts by people who don't like "grave-digging." There's a lot of swearing, insulting, name-calling, etc. Any disagreements in opinion degenerate into chaos. Some of the knowledgeable people who have been there a long time have an arrogant attitude.
What a difference, this forum here is very special, and it is everybody here that make it that way.
