Multiple people playing on 1 connection?
My father wants to learn to play dominions two. He has his own computer. Both our computers are connected to one dsl modem. If I host, can he connect through that modem to me using the same copy of dom2?

No. You can play hotseat on one computer, though, with the other person reading "A Feast of Ravens" in the meantime

Correction
You can also play a pbem game, allowing you and your father to play turns simultaneously without a second copy. To play multiplayer on the net you must buy a second copy, which is unfair in that specific case, but necessary as there is no foolproof way to distinguish between local and remote internet computers.

Re: Multiple people playing on 1 connection?
More specifically, you can play multiple natiions on the same computer with the same CD-Key, but you cannot play multiple nations with the same CD-Key on two different computers.
If only one of you is playing in the same game, it will work just fine; if you are both playing in the same game, the second of your nations will trigger the detection, and will destroy your order file (if you are Pangaea and Machaka, Machaka will be the one losing all orders).

Re: Multiple people playing on 1 connection?
By detection do you mean cheat detection? Cause we can turn that off when we play togather.

Re: Multiple people playing on 1 connection?
Not the cheat detection, but the same CD-Key detection, so it shouldn't work (I haven't tested it out though).

Re: Multiple people playing on 1 connection?
Play two games simultaniously in both computers. Both on hotseat. So when your father plays his turn you can entretain yourself with the other game, and viceversa.
