OT: Help with data cable drivers (Bitpim/QPST)

		Hi folks,

Finally bought a data cable for my LG-VX7000 cellphone and downloaded both Bitpim and QPST, the recommended cellphone hack programs. Problem is, the data cable came without a drivers CD. I searched a few forums and found links to Future Dial drivers that several people are using successfully. I don't know how to "install" them; they just come in a zipped folder with an uninstaller (go figure) and a readme.txt explaining the version updates.

I plugged in the phone and windoze immediately detected a "CDMA Modem." That makes sense to me. When it went to install the drivers, I pointed it to the folder where I had unzipped the downloaded files... it doesn't see them.

a.) Am I pointing the system at drivers only meant for the cable when it's looking for drivers for a modem? So do I need to find "CDMA Modem Drivers?"

b.) Do I have to paste the .inf .dll and .sys files into specific folders before Windoze can see them properly?

I've always been a bit thick at this level of PC operation. Any guidance would be appreciated. Verizon's "Get it Now" is just too damned expensive to trick-out this great phone the way it should be.
