Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible.
And another pic; a fleet of a Juggernought, two Baseships and five Battleships in orbit around a Rock/Oxy planet.
Yes. That is to scale. Not the scale in which I created it, but relative scale.
This is not the Fleet pic. That one had the Juggernought and Baseships as they are here, but it had 3 disproportional Battleships and a swarm of Corvettes instead of 5 proportional Battleships. The Corvettes were grouped in small wings of 3 ships, usually performing barrel-rolls or flying at an angle, but due to some thing I can't comprehend, every time I save it the Corvettes revert to the position in which they were copied into the file - in a diagonal line, at the same height and level. Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible.
Reminds me of the BOB shipset, which is never a bad thing. I think it's the big gun metal grey covered in guns look combined with the yellow stripe.
However it is clearly a different set and is most shiny. Nice work fella.

Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible.
Third and last pic before release: A pair of Heavy Interceptors being launched simultaneously from a Carrier, while two Heavy Cruisers escort the aforementioned Carrier.
***************
I will need an appropriate AI, as well as a BigExplosion, Shields and Main pics. Currently, all have been taken from the Jraenar, with some modifications to the Main and, of course, a partially modified AI_General.
If anyone's interested in doing any of these things, contact me via PM or e-mail.
***************
The reason it looks like the Bob is because this shipset and the Bob (and the Sol Coalition and Sev and Shadri and Spaceshark and So On) were all created using the basic parts provided by DoGA L3.

Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible.
Excellent stuff- I'm loving the fleet pics. What are you using for race portraits?

Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible. Relea
I had scanned something a while back which I thought would become the race portrait, but it was a glittery sticker and the pic was riddled with strange darkish shapes as a result. I've taken a pic from "I, Robot" with a small group of robots.
Oh, I forgot to tell you:
You won't know how the Bartelians (that's their name, the Bartelian Coalition) look. They communicate using the aforementioned robots (called Communicants), and the leader name will be a Communicant's designation, to simulate the fact that other empires relay messages through the Communicant.
Oh, I know how they're supposed to look, but I'm not going to tell anyone.....
***************
I am more than pleased to announce the release of the Bartelian Coalition!
Currently, it features an AI, Main, BigExplosion and Shields taken from the Jraenar. I need someone to code an appropriate AI and to create unique pics. If you're interested, PM or e-mail me.
Also, if anyone knows of any more ship images I haven't created yet, tell me and I'll update it.

Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible. Relea
I am liking the carrier concept. It looks like it could actually launch fighters. Sparkly!

Re: List of all types of vehicle pics?
Assuming the reddish orange area on the carrier is the engines/exhaust, how does it not just spin in a circle whenever it tries to move? The engines need to be located centrally or have another engine on the other side to counterbalance the thrust and prevent spinning.

Suggestion: Add a Glow map to the engines.

Re: Biggest shipset *ever*. Meta-compatible. Relea
If by "glow map" you mean "increased emittion" (as DoGA calls it), it won't show at all.
The Bartelians employ an intricate inertia-nullification field generator, which erects an energy field around the ship and "pulls the inertia away from the fighter bays and puts it right in front of the engines" to put it simply.
I could have just said that they used very powerful engines so the effect would be negligible, but I just wanted to say this.
