Re: \"D\" key question
This is a question I have. Many weapons cannot be seen when I want to replace one. For example, the 105M2. Even when I want to lower the ammo, I have to first type in the weapon number...but the weapon is not listed.
So tell a dumb guy one more time, how do I access the complete list of weapons for each country and how do I get whatever software I need to do that. As it is now, it is very frustrating.

Re: \"D\" key question
Okay, where do I get MOBHACK (that one is yours, right Andy?) and is there some sort of doc or text file that will give me some instructions on how to access these weapons lists?
I would very much like to have this program. I know the quality of Andy's work. It shows in this game.

weapon selection is already fixed for the patch 9you get upto 3 pages on that screen via -1, -2, -3 -4 or lower to delete a weapon now). How many you see depends on how full the particular OOB is.
|
That should tell you how to find the other weapons on the list. I haven't tested it yet but I guess we could trust Andy on that. Otherwise you have to get into MOBhack and check the list number of the weapon you want, then retype it in the D tab, seeing it or not.
MOBhack is included in the game, in the MOBhack folder.

Yes, MOBHack is include in the game and IS in the MOBHack folder but it's readily accessable from the Game options screen that first appears when you start up the game. Look under the "Utilities" tab then click on MOBHack
Once MOBHack starts, open the nation you want then click on "Weapons" then, type in the name of the weapon you are looking for under " Find " at the top right. ( you may have to try a few variations on the name because find only finds what you tell it to find. If that doesn't work scroll down until you find it.
Once you've found the weapon note what number it is then apply that to the D key change when you open the game again.
As Andy noted this has been fixed now and you will be able to find them all while in the game. That change is already in the CD version and will also be included in the patch we will be issueing soon.

looking forward to the patch (or the CD, whichever comes first!).
Meanwhile, I`ll use MOBhack to view the weapon numbers.

Re: \"D\" key question
Thank you, thank you. I did not realize it was there. Sometime I speak before I look well and I'll try to do better. Thanks guys for the update. I'm off to try it out.

Re: \"D\" key question
Man the work done here is overwhelming! What a task for you guys. I see two countries where I lived and worked nearly 40 years ago in the list, Nicaragua and El Salvador!
Man, that brings back some memories, including the war between El Salvador and Honduras back in 1969. I've got a couple of stories to tell about that one some day.
Anyway, I just want to thank Andy, Don and the others for the many hundres, probably thousands of hours they put in just on researching, cataloging and preparing these notes alone. Fabulous information and capabilities.
