Flat or Threaded?
I've never really liked Threaded forums, but I thought that I'd see what everybody else thought. How do you view the Intel forums? Is the Threaded View you're favorite? Are you an old school Flat View user?

Re: Flat or Threaded?
I use flat view all the time. With the threaded view, we get these staggered diagonal listings which aren't particularly helpful and you can only read one post at a time.

Re: Flat or Threaded?
And all the flat-mode users (like me) just reply to the last post anyway, so all benefit of having threads is lost

Re: Flat or Threaded?
...I didn't even know you could read it threaded. But that's not my favoriate anyway.
Have to play around with it when I can think.

Re: Flat or Threaded?
Threaded view is actually good for something: it allows to link to one specific post without depending on display settings. Linking to one post in a specific thread only seems to work for people having the same exact settings as you do; at least, I have been unable to get it to work on other computers by using the post number alone.
The one question you should ask is: "Latest post first, or earliest post first?"

Re: Flat or Threaded?
I only use threaded views in forums where its the ONLY option.
Not because I don't like it but because things get ridiclously confusing otherwise.

Re: Flat or Threaded?
We all seem to overwhelmingly choose a flat world versus a threaded one... Hmm...

The world is flat! The world is flat! If you go too far you'll fall of the edges! It's not round, or hollow, it's flat! NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!!!
